Cleaning Instructions for Fabric Products
For All Fabric Products
MedCo Technology fabric products can be spot cleaned with the same products you’d use to clean a patient’s skin. Disinfectant wipes usually work well with our products, but always follow any wipe instructions. Bleach wipes are not recommended, as they may leave a residue that can irritate skin. Our laundry instructions were developed based on the published Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for environmental infection control in health care facilities. Download our full set of laundry instructions (PDF) for home machines or commercial laundry use.
For Reusable Fabric Products
Reusable fabric products should always be laundered between patients. You may spot clean them with anything you’d use on skin. For large soiled areas, we recommend placing the item in the laundry and using a fresh one.
For Single Patient, Disposable Products
Do not launder Single Patient, Disposable products. You may spot clean them with anything you’d use on skin. For large soiled areas, we recommend throwing away the item and using a fresh one.
On Single Patient, Disposable fabric products with labels, a black rectangle is sewn onto the item to indicate if it’s been washed. Please discard the product if you can read that label.
