Made of ultra-thin padded mesh designed for maximum airflow and breathability, Apex quickly wicks excess moisture away from the patient’s skin. The unique, controlled elasticity of Apex fabric automatically adjusts to body contours to provide superior skin protection and comfort. Limb Lifter

From promoting active participation with progressive mobility to passively supporting extremities when necessary, the versatility of the MedCo Technology Limb Lifter makes it the ideal tool for care environments of all kinds. With fabric that is gentle on the skin and a ladder design for an easy grip, the Limb Lifter can be used to help patients return their legs to bed. The upper arm support comfortably helps patients with weakness or limited range of motion.

The MedCo Technology Limb Lifter bridges many of the gaps between mobilization equipment and patient needs. At home, it can assist with knee or hip surgery recovery by allowing a gentle raising or lowering of legs to the floor as needed. If necessary, a Limb Lifter can also be used with hook and loop overhead or portable floor lifts to elevate limbs as needed.

Supporting a patient’s limb for inspection or a dressing change used to require a caregiver to manually hold the limb up during the whole treatment. Now, utilizing most overhead or portable floor lifts, MedCo Technology Limb Slings make it possible to comfortably and safely elevate any limb while protecting skin and caregivers alike. Their contouring fabric adjusts to the different body shapes and angles needed to perform most treatments or procedures without excess pressure or shearing. MedCo Technology Ambulation Shorts allow caregivers to safely and simply ambulate a patient while reducing the risk of patient or caregiver injuries from falls. Our Ambulation Shorts are constructed in both Single Patient and Apex Reusable fabrics, which both feature unparalleled body contouring comfort.

Our Ambulation Shorts may be placed on the patient while sitting or while lying in bed, similar to dressing activities. For placement while lying in bed, they are often placed using Slide Sheets. Our Ambulation Shorts are equipped with storage pockets designed to contain the straps while placing or removing the shorts.

Once in place, the Ambulation Shorts are easily to tighten and fit to the patient using our custom tension buckles and straps at the leg, hip, and waist. These tension buckles are easy to adjustby the caregiver or patient to ensure maximum comfort and stability.

Multiple strap attachment points make it easy to connect to hook and loop overhead or portable floor lifts. While in use, the strap storage pocket also assists with tension and provides a support mechanism for the chest and back.

MedCo Technology Ambulation Shorts are designed to protect patient privacy and dignity. They allow indwelling foley catheters and feature open sides for patients with multiple lines, drains or chest tubes. The fabric is designed to prevent riding up, binding, or bunching that may cause painful pressure areas during ambulation tasks. Ambulation Shorts may be used with any overhead or portable floor lift, walking frame, or ambulation system that features loop attachment points.
